Naidu to Make Record 16th Silk Robe Offering
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will give special silk robes to Lord Venkateswara.
The offering will happen at Tirumala on Tuesday.
It is part of the annual Brahmotsavam festival.
The ceremony will happen after Dwajarohanam, which starts the festival.
This government tradition began in 1983 under NT Rama Rao.
Many chief ministers from different parties have continued it.
Naidu has made the offering more times than any other chief minister.
His offering on Tuesday will be his 16th.

NT Rama Rao introduced the government offering in 1983, and successive chief ministers continued it.
The presentation was moved from Garuda Seva to Dwajarohanam in 2004 because of heavy pilgrim turnout.
