Retailers report 6% sales growth in June
Retailers in India saw a 6% increase in sales in June compared to the same month last year.
This growth was mainly driven by food and grocery stores, as well as quick service restaurants.
Other categories like footwear, consumer electronics, and jewelry also saw growth, but furniture and furnishings had the least growth.
Retailers are adapting to consumer preferences by focusing on value and efficiency, and investing in technology and omnichannel capabilities.
Different regions in India saw varying levels of growth, with the Western region performing the best and the Eastern region the least.
