Vanrang 2026 Tribal Festival Showcases Maharashtra's Art, Culture And Livelihoods
A big festival called Vanrang 2026 has come to Mumbai, a city in India.
It celebrates the tribal people of Maharashtra, groups with their own old traditions, art and ways of living.
At the festival, they show beautiful paintings, crafts, clothes, music, dances and food.
Visitors can buy things straight from the artists and farmers who made them.
This means the money goes to the makers instead of middlemen.

The festival also honoured special people, including a man who climbed Mount Everest.

The three-day Vanrang 2026 Tribal Culture Festival is taking place at the Y.B. Chavan Centre in Nariman Point, Mumbai, showcasing Maharashtra's tribal heritage.
NCP (SP) national president Sharadchandra Pawar attended the second day, where Maharashtra minister Narhari Zirwal's tribal development efforts were appreciated.
The festival connects tribal artisans, traditional healers, women's self-help groups and farmers directly with consumers, aiming to reduce the role of middlemen.
Highlights include Warli and Gond painting workshops, a Tribal Mosaic Art installation by Chetan Raut near Marine Drive, and a photography exhibition by Colston Julian.
The Vanrang Awards 2026 honoured the Swades Foundation, Padma Shri Bhiklya Dhinga, Everest mountaineer Anil Vasave and IAS officer P. Anbalagan; the festival concludes on August 9 with a Tribal Lunch guided by Taj chef Raghu Devra.
