People across Chhattisgarh lit more than 1.50 crore lamps on September 17.

The lamps were called ‘Aashirwad Ke Diye,’ meaning lamps of blessings.

The event was part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

It was organised to mark Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service.

Many groups, including women, students, farmers and workers, took part.

People gathered in villages, cities, temples and public spaces.

The government said the event promoted service, good governance and cooperation.

More activities will take place until October 17.
