India has selected 73 athletes for the 2026 Asian Games.

Neeraj Chopra will lead the athletics team.

He will try to win the men’s javelin gold medal for the third time in a row.

The Games will take place in Japan from September 19 to October 4.

Rohit Yadav will compete alongside Chopra in the javelin event.

Yadav recently threw 87.68 metres, his personal best.

Several athletes who won medals in 2023 will compete again.

Some returning champions include Avinash Sable, Tajinderpal Singh Toor, Parul Chaudhary and Annu Rani.
