Critically Ill Newborn Recovers After Advanced Care at KIMS Cuddles
A newborn baby became very sick soon after birth.
The baby had trouble breathing and low blood circulation.
Doctors at KIMS Cuddles in Nellore suspected a serious lung condition.
They used a special breathing machine called HFOV.
They also gave medicines to help the baby’s blood vessels work better.
The baby was watched closely all day and night.
By the third day, the baby no longer needed the invasive breathing machine.
By the tenth day, the baby could breathe without extra oxygen.
The hospital said the baby recovered fully.

Doctors suspected the infant had Persistent Pulmonary Hypertension of the Newborn.
The medical team used High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation and specialized vasodilators.
The baby was taken off invasive ventilation by the third day.
The infant breathed independently without oxygen by the tenth day.
