Sikkim checked its voter list through a process called the Special Intensive Revision.

The final list has 4,18,467 voters.

This is 52,551 fewer voters than the earlier list.

Officials compared voter details with older records and checked cases that looked unusual.

More than 1.2 lakh people received notices to prove that they were eligible voters.

After hearings and checks, 16,485 people were found ineligible.

Another 324 names were removed because of requests involving issues such as death or moving away.

Some people were added back after filing claims, and people who disagree with a deletion can appeal.
