BJP appoints Haryana success architect Satish Poonia as Punjab in-charge
Some grown-ups work for a big political group in India called the BJP.
They help the group win elections in different states.
The leader of this group has a special helper named Satish Poonia.
He helped the group win a big election in a state called Haryana.
Now the leader has asked him to help in another state called Punjab.
He did this same job a long time ago, from 2004 to 2014.

He retains his role as Haryana in-charge and faces a tougher Punjab challenge, where the BJP has only two MLAs in the 117-member Assembly and no Lok Sabha MP.
Poonia previously served as Punjab in-charge from 2004 to 2014, when the SAD-BJP alliance formed governments in 2007 and 2012.
Poonia claimed there is an undercurrent in favour of the BJP in Punjab and said his effort would be to form a government on the party's own strength.
