Mathura DM helps four children who undertook Kanwar Yatra
Four children could not go to school because their families could not pay the school fees.
They took a special walking trip called a Kanwar Yatra, starting from Haridwar on July 30.
On the trip, they prayed to Lord Shiva to help them go back to school.
A picture and a message about them spread on the internet.
A district officer named Chandra Prakash Singh saw the message.
He called the children to his office to help them.
The officers made sure their school fees were removed, so they no longer had to pay.
The children also got new uniforms, a school bag, books, and other school items.
The government is also helping their parents, who have disabilities, with welfare support.
Now the children can study again.
Four children from Kosi Kalan — Sadhna, Muskan, Prerna and Shivam — undertook a Kanwar Yatra from Haridwar on July 30, praying to Lord Shiva to help them resume studies stopped over unpaid fees.
District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh acted after a viral X post captioned “Bholenath Suno Pukar Fees Bharna Jaroori” and called the children to his office.
The administration waived fees of Rs 6,800 for Muskan and Rs 5,500 for Shivam; Sadhna and Prerna already had tuition and full fee waivers, respectively.
The children received two sets of school uniforms, a school bag, books, a pencil box, lunch box, shoes and socks, and SDM Akhilesh Kumar adopted the school's students.
The administration is facilitating the enrolment of the physically challenged parents under the UP Divyang Pension Yojana; Bharat Singh is also a PM Awas Yojana (Urban) beneficiary.
