MP Board Waives Exam Fees for Students Who Lost Parents

In Madhya Pradesh, a state in India, there is a school board that organizes big tests for students.

These tests are called examinations.

Students normally have to pay money to take these tests, called exam fees.

But now, the board says students who have lost both their parents don't have to pay.

That's because losing both parents can make life very hard, and paying for exams might be too much for them.

This new rule starts in the school year 2026-27.

It applies to different exams, like High School and Higher Secondary.

These students might live with relatives or in special homes called orphanages.

To get the free pass, they need to show documents proving both parents passed away.

This way, more children can keep going to school.
