Karnataka’s Seven Semiconductor Deals Aim to Boost Chip Startups

Karnataka has made seven new agreements to help semiconductor startups.

Semiconductors are tiny electronic parts used in many devices.

The agreements bring together researchers, software companies, manufacturers, trainers and business advisers.

IISc will help with research and building early versions of products.

Silvaco will provide tools that engineers use to design chips.

Kaynes Semicon will help turn designs into manufactured products.

Other partners will support automotive electronics, worker training, mentoring and fundraising.

Karnataka hopes this support will help more chip ideas become real products and create skilled jobs.
