Telangana Celebrates National Sports Day Across 33 Districts
Telangana celebrated National Sports Day on Saturday.
The day remembers the birthday of famous hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.
Sports activities took place in all 33 districts.
Several stadiums in Hyderabad also hosted events.
Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari honored Major Dhyan Chand with flowers.
Athletes Nandini Agasara, Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly were recognized for their achievements.
A cycling event will be held on Sunday.
It is meant to encourage people to exercise, stay healthy and enjoy sports.
