Kharghar Roads Face August 23 Restrictions For Mayor Marathon
Kharghar will host the Kharghar Hill Mayor Marathon on August 23.
The event will have races ranging from 3 kilometres to 42 kilometres.
About 4,500 people are expected to participate.
Some roads will have traffic restrictions from 4 a.m.
until 11 a.m.
Police will close one side of certain roads.
The other side will carry traffic in both directions.
Drivers should avoid these roads if they can.
They should also follow the directions given by traffic police.
Traffic restrictions will apply across parts of Kharghar on August 23 from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The Panvel Municipal Corporation expects around 4,500 participants across six marathon distances from 3 km to 42 km.
One side of roads along the routes will be closed, while the other side remains open for two-way traffic.
Affected stretches include roads near Central Park, Gurudwara, Utsav Chowk, Belpada, Owegaon and Taloja Jail.
Motorists are advised to avoid the routes where possible, plan ahead and follow diversion signs and police instructions.
