IIT Kharagpur Opens Texas AI Centre for Skills and Research
IIT Kharagpur helped open a new centre for learning about artificial intelligence in Houston.
The Texas AI Learning Centre is located at the Tagore Centre.
It will teach AI and help people develop technology skills.
It also hopes to work on problems faced by industries.
The centre was launched by leaders from India, the Tagore Centre Foundation and IIT Kharagpur.
The opening was part of celebrations for India’s Independence Day and IIT Kharagpur’s anniversary.
Leaders said the centre could strengthen technology cooperation between India and the United States.
Its first activity was a two-day certificate course about artificial intelligence.
The Texas AI Learning Centre was inaugurated at the Tagore Centre in Houston through collaboration with the IIT Kharagpur Outreach Network.
The centre aims to provide artificial intelligence education, professional skills and industry-focused technology solutions.
DC Manjunath, Asoke Deysarkar and Suman Chakraborty jointly launched the facility.
