Veerlapalli Shankar Distributes Marriage Assistance Cheques to 47 Beneficiaries

Veerlapalli Shankar is a local elected representative.

On Tuesday, he gave marriage-assistance cheques to 47 people in Shadnagar.

The cheques came through two government programs called Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak.

These programs help families with the cost of marrying their daughters.

Shankar said the government would keep providing help even though it faces financial constraints.

He also said people who qualify should continue to receive the benefits.

He accused opposition parties of trying to stop the programs.

He said the government would work to make sure the assistance reaches people.
