Many people died, and many others are still missing.

One missing person is Shatadal Nath from Assam in India.

He had gone to Nepal for work about eight months earlier.

Officials said he was sleeping in his room after finishing a night shift when floodwater swept the building away.

About 14 other people staying there were also reportedly swept away.

Nath’s colleague Gautam Das was working when the flood came and survived.

Nath’s family is still waiting for news about him.
