A brave woman named Harsimrat Kaur Badal has started leading her family's political party in India.
Her husband, Sukhbir Singh Badal, is the leader of that party.

Harsimrat resigned from the Union Cabinet in 2020 over the contentious farm laws and retained her Bathinda Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 general elections.
The SAD won only Bathinda out of Punjab's 13 Lok Sabha seats in 2024 and is now rebuilding ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
