Harsimrat Kaur calls Sukhbir Badal attack a well-planned conspiracy

Sukhbir Singh Badal is the leader of a political party in India called the Shiromani Akali Dal.

Someone hurt him with a special knife called a kirpan inside a Sikh temple, called a gurdwara, near a town named Nanded.

Badal was hurt on his right hand.

The person who did it was a member of a group called the Nihang order, and the police caught him.

Badal was discharged from the hospital in Nanded and taken to another hospital in Gurugram for an operation.

Badal's wife, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, is a member of Parliament and a former Union minister.

She said the attack was part of a well-planned political conspiracy and was the second attack on Badal in two years.

She said the person who attacked him cannot be called a Sikh.

She spoke about this at a memorial event for Karnail Singh Isru in a village in Punjab.
