Jharkhand contributes Rs 3 crore to Assam flood relief fund

There are very bad floods in Assam, a state in India.

The floods have made many people lose their homes and even their loved ones.

A leader named Hemant Soren, who is in charge of another state called Jharkhand, felt very sad about this.

He decided that Jharkhand would give 3 crore rupees to help the people of Assam.

That is a very big amount of money, enough to help many families.

He also wrote a letter to Himanta Biswa Sarma, the leader of Assam, to say that Jharkhand stands with the state.

Mr. Soren asked the people and institutions of Jharkhand to come forward and assist the flood victims too.

The floods have been so severe that nearly 100 people have died, and about 1.68 lakh people are affected across 15 districts.

Mr. Soren said that helping each other in difficult times is everyone's biggest responsibility.
