Yogi Adityanath Highlights Encephalitis Gains, Healthcare Expansion in Gorakhpur

He inaugurated the Indian Medical Association’s 400-unit charitable blood centre in Gorakhpur on September 16, 2026.
The chief minister said Uttar Pradesh now has 85 medical colleges, two operational AIIMS facilities and more than 13,500 MBBS seats.
He announced plans for 10-bed dialysis units in all district hospitals and said free dialysis services are being expanded statewide.
Adityanath urged voluntary blood donation and warned that unsafe professional blood donation could create infection risks.
