Bihar Plans to Replace ‘Fail’ on Class 10, 12 Marksheets
Bihar wants to stop printing the word “Fail” on Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets.
It plans to use words meaning “Eligible for Skill Development” instead.
This does not mean students will automatically pass their exams.
The marks needed to pass and the division system will stay the same.
Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari said a low score should not make children feel that they have no talent.
Students taking the Matriculation supplementary exam will receive one month of special classes.
Bihar also plans a Teachers’ Day event on September 5.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary is expected to launch a teacher-support portal and honor one teacher from each district.
