Centre Identifies 384 Highway Black Spots in Andhra Pradesh

The government has found 384 dangerous spots on big highways in a state called Andhra Pradesh.

These spots are called 'black spots' because many accidents happen there.

A smart computer program made by IIT Kanpur helped find these places.

The program looked at accident information from 2023 to 2025.

Some districts have more dangerous spots than others, and East Godavari has the most.

The government is putting up warning signs, lights and guard rails to make roads safer.

They are also planning bigger changes like making roads wider and building underpasses.

These bigger changes can take time because the government needs land and special permissions.

A minister named Nitin Gadkari told everyone about this in Parliament.

The government will also check the roads regularly and use an accident-tracking system to keep them safe.
