Saaransh: Death Inspiration and Casting Clash

A movie called Saaransh was made in 1984.

The director, Mahesh Bhatt, said he was inspired by the sudden death of a young man who was the son of a teacher named U.G. Krishnamurti.

Bhatt had never written a script and asked a company called Rajshri Productions to make the film.

An actor named Anupam Kher was first chosen to play the old husband, but he was taken out of the film just ten days before shooting.

Bhatt then hired another famous actor, Sanjeev Kumar.

Anupam Kher was upset and said Bhatt was a fraud.
