Gurumurthy Advocates Self-Reliance for India's Growth

S. Gurumurthy, a well-known economist, spoke at a meeting in Hyderabad about why India should focus on its own traditional and self-reliant economic systems instead of copying Western models.

He believes that India's strength lies in its own history and local businesses.

He also warned that as India grows stronger, other countries might try to create problems inside India to weaken it.

Other speakers, like N. Ramchander Rao, agreed and talked about how India has made progress in becoming more self-reliant, like developing its own vaccines and exporting defence equipment.
