Government Earmarks Four MBBS Seats for Terror Victim Families
The government has set aside four medical college seats for some families affected by terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
The seats will be available for the 2026–27 school year.
Eligible applicants can be children or spouses of civilian victims.
The seats are in colleges in Bihar, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
Students must pass the required school subjects and qualify in NEET-UG 2026.
Their NEET rank will decide who is selected.

Four Central Pool MBBS seats have been reserved for eligible children and spouses of civilian terror victims from Jammu and Kashmir.
The seats are located at medical colleges in Bihar, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh for the 2026–27 academic session.
Applicants must be Jammu and Kashmir residents and meet National Medical Commission and NEET-UG 2026 eligibility requirements.
Selection will be based on NEET-UG 2026 rank, with no separate entrance examination by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Priority is given to children of victims whose families suffered deaths, sole-breadwinner loss, permanent disability or serious injuries.
