The weather office in India has told people in Delhi to be careful because very heavy rain is coming.

This is called a red alert, which is the strongest kind of weather warning.

The warning started on Thursday morning and lasts for three hours.

Many parts of Delhi, like East Delhi and Central Delhi, are affected.

Thunderstorms and lightning are also expected.

Some other parts of Delhi got an orange alert, which means moderate rain.

A place called Safdarjung already measured 30.5 mm of rain by Thursday morning.

Delhi has already received about 59% of the rain it normally gets in the whole month of August.

The weather forecast says cloudy skies and some rain will continue for the next six days.

Because of all the rain, temperatures in the city have also gone down a little.
