Karnataka Gets 1.10 Lakh Objections to Voter Roll Changes

Karnataka received 1,10,654 Form-7 applications between June 16 and October 8, seeking objections to proposed voter-list inclusions or deletions.
The state had 4,51,61,393 registered electors as of October 9, according to the Chief Electoral Officer's office.
Officials generated 43,82,315 notices and delivered 43,73,745; hearings had been completed for 40,88,099 delivered notices.
The last hearing was scheduled for October 12, and the deadline to dispose of claims and objections was October 22.
The final electoral roll is scheduled for publication on October 27 under the Election Commission of India's SIR-2026 schedule.
