Raja Subramani Opens Sailor Housing at Karwar Naval Base
General N.S. Raja Subramani opened new homes at the Indian Navy’s base in Karwar.

Chief of Defence Staff General N.S. Raja Subramani inaugurated new residential accommodation at the Karwar Naval Base on Thursday.
The housing is part of Project Seabird Phase IIA and includes 60 units for senior sailors, 60 for Naval Defence civilians, accommodation for 156 Defence Security Corps personnel, and a kindergarten school.
NCC Ltd constructed the residences and amenity facilities, while Cemindia Projects built the trunk infrastructure.
Project Seabird Phase IIA also includes plans for a dual-use Naval Air Station, a Naval Dockyard and logistics facilities for ships and aircraft.
Separately, Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan spoke to student officers at MILIT about maritime strategy, future warfare and integrated operations.
