'UP Has Potential To Generate More Than 11 Million Jobs' · rediff.com

Uttar Pradesh wants to become a very large economy worth $1 trillion by 2030.

Its government says better roads, airports, electricity and law and order can attract more businesses.

The state plans to spend more than ₹1.77 trillion on development projects in the next financial year.

Officials say companies have proposed investments worth more than ₹50 trillion.

These proposals could create over 11 million jobs, although projects must still become operational.

The government is also supporting farmers, small businesses, exporters and traditional products.

It hopes new expressways and industrial areas will bring opportunities to districts outside the National Capital Region.

The government says its success should be judged by actual factories, jobs and higher family incomes, not only promises.
