Two countries, India and Liberia, are friends and want to work together.

India's top diplomat, Mr. S. Jaishankar, met Liberia's top diplomat, Ms. Sara Beysolow Nyanti.

They talked about keeping ships safe at sea, mining for minerals, health, farming, clean water and training.

Liberia is opening a brand new embassy, an office in another country, in India's capital city, New Delhi.

Mr. Jaishankar said congratulations and hoped the two countries would become better partners.

They also talked about making the United Nations Security Council fairer so more countries can have a say.

A group of lawmakers from Liberia also visited India to learn about helpful development programmes.

These programmes help people save money, get clean water and stay healthy.

The visit is part of South-South cooperation, where countries in the global south help one another learn and grow.
