The Election Commission of India said two Uttar Pradesh Electoral Literacy Club conferences were postponed because of routine scheduling adjustments.
The cited factors included venue availability, senior officials’ schedules and natural conditions.
The decision to postpone the two conferences was taken on September 21.
The ECI said similar date changes had occurred previously in Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh and Uttarakhand.
A separate ELC 2.0 regional conference was held as scheduled in Lucknow on August 24 as part of voter-awareness efforts ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh elections.
