Assam has approved a large plan to build and improve public facilities.

The plan is worth Rs 50,000 crore.

It includes better high schools and thousands of new Anganwadi centres for children and mothers.

Every Assembly constituency could get women-focused markets, a stadium and an auditorium.

Tea garden workers are also to receive Rs 1.5 lakh to help build houses.

Much of the money may come from NABARD, while the state will provide the rest.

The projects are expected to start in 2027.

They will be completed in stages by 2034.
