Central Railway earns over Rs 2777 crore through Freight loading · freepressjournal.in

This story is about trains carrying heavy goods like coal, food grains and cars.

The Central Railway is a big train company in India that carries these goods across the country.

In four months, from April to July 2026, their trains moved more than 27 million tons of cargo.

That is a huge amount, heavier than many millions of cars!

They earned more than 2,700 crore rupees from moving all this freight.

Last year, they moved a little less, so this year they did better by more than 4 percent.

Most of the cargo was moved through the Nagpur area, which did almost 60 percent of the work.

Mumbai railway division helped a lot too.

In the month of July, they achieved their second-best result for that month in the last ten years.

The train company says it wants to keep improving by building better stations and finding smarter ways to move goods.

This helps the Indian economy grow.
