Nimmala Reviews Krishna Water Diversion to Nallamala Sagar

Some important people in India had a video meeting about water.

They want to move water from a big river called the Krishna to a large lake called Nallamala Sagar.

The water will travel through tunnels that are dug inside the ground.

Workers have already cleaned the path where the water will flow.

They still need to finish the walls of the tunnels, which should take about ten days.

A huge digging machine got stuck inside one of the tunnels, and workers hope to remove it in about a week.

The minister said the old government should have taken the machine out earlier.

The meeting also talked about a project called Veligonda that brings water to dry areas.

Some families had to leave their homes for this project, and the government is paying them money.

The minister wants everything ready so that water can start flowing by the third week of August.
