Inaugural Beed-Pune Special Train Flagged Off in Maharashtra
A special train connecting Beed and Pune was flagged off in Maharashtra.
Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar led the ceremony on September 17, 2026.
The event took place at Beed Railway station.
Several elected representatives and railway officials attended.
The train is linked to the newly completed Ahilyanagar-Beed railway section.
It is expected to make travel between Marathwada and western Maharashtra easier.
Officials said better rail connections could support economic and social development.
The regular train will be called the Pune-Beed-Pune Daily Express, but its detailed schedule has not yet been announced.

The ceremony was held at Beed Railway station and attended by MPs, MLAs, local officials and railway representatives.
The event coincided with Marathwada Mukti Sangram Din, marking Marathwada’s integration with the Indian Union in 1948.
The regular service will operate as Train 11433/11434, the Pune-Beed-Pune Daily Express.
Service dates, timings, stoppages and coach details will be announced later by Central Railway.
