The event took place at Beed Railway station.

The train is linked to the newly completed Ahilyanagar-Beed railway section.

It is expected to make travel between Marathwada and western Maharashtra easier.

Officials said better rail connections could support economic and social development.

The regular train will be called the Pune-Beed-Pune Daily Express, but its detailed schedule has not yet been announced.
