Gurugram NGO Begins Haryana’s 5,000-Bed Free Shelter Project
A charity called the Earth Saviours Foundation is building a very large free home in Haryana.
It plans to help more than 5,000 people who have been abandoned or are living without support.
These people may include elderly people, people with illnesses or disabilities, and abuse survivors.
The charity already helps about 1,300 people at two other shelters.
Residents receive a place to stay, food, medical care and help rebuilding their lives.
The project was planned by founder Ravi Kalra, who died before construction began.
His son Jas Kalra is now leading the foundation and continuing the work.
The charity is asking people to donate or volunteer.
