Inox Wind Q1 Net Profit Falls 34% Amid Margin Pressure
Inox Wind is a company that makes and provides wind energy solutions.
It just told everyone how much money it made in the first three months of its financial year.
During that time, the company earned less profit than it did the year before.
Its total profit went down by 34%, from ₹97.3 crore to ₹64.1 crore.
This happened even though the money it earned from selling things stayed almost the same.
The company's costs and weaker operating performance made its profit margins smaller.
Its earnings before interest, taxes, and other costs also went down by 17%.
A larger share of profit also went to other partners, which reduced what the company's owners got.
The company's own standalone business made a bit more money, but profit there also fell.
Inox Wind also mentioned some money tied up in special purpose vehicles that is still under legal review.
The company expects to get that money back once those matters are resolved.
Inox Wind's consolidated net profit fell 34% year-on-year to ₹64.1 crore in Q1 FY27, from ₹97.3 crore in Q1 FY26.
Revenue from operations slipped 1.5% to ₹814.1 crore from ₹826.3 crore in the year-ago quarter.
EBITDA declined 17% to ₹152.5 crore, with the EBITDA margin narrowing to 18.7% from 22.2%.
Profit attributable to owners dropped to ₹44 crore from ₹105.9 crore, partly due to a higher profit share of non-controlling interests.
Standalone revenue rose 3.9% to ₹743.5 crore, but standalone net profit fell 17.5% to ₹71.5 crore.
