Maharashtra FDA Chief Tukaram Mundhe Rules Out Entering Politics
Tukaram Mundhe is a very important government officer in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
His job is to check the food that restaurants serve to make sure it is safe to eat.

Some people even wondered if he might become a politician and run for election.
In a TV interview, he said no, that is not for him.

Mundhe's department inspected more than 3,000 food establishments between May 25 and July 31, suspending licences of 165 establishments.
Unsafe food products weighing 28.66 lakh kg, valued at Rs 55.72 crore, were seized or destroyed following the inspections.
Mundhe brushed off the "Nayak" tag comparing him to Anil Kapoor's film character, saying his popularity need not translate into political capital.
