Jalgaon University Emphasizes Skill-Based, Job-Oriented Education Under NEP
Jalgaon: Universities Must Focus On Skill-Based, Job-Oriented Education, Says Chandrakant Patil · freepressjournal.in

A minister visited a university in Jalgaon and asked it to teach useful skills, not only textbook lessons.

He said students should be prepared for jobs and business opportunities.

The university started work on several new buildings and learning facilities.

These include a boys’ hostel, competitive-exam training centre and scientific equipment centre.

It also opened an online centre for Tribal Studies.

A new partnership will give some students practical field experience.

A donation was announced to help build the boys’ hostel.

The university also plans to train about 2,000 teachers in artificial intelligence and later teach students.
