Election Commission Sets October 23 Polls for 28 Council Seats
The Election Commission has announced elections for 28 seats in state Legislative Councils.
Voting will happen on October 23.
The seats are in Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
The people being replaced are expected to retire in November and December.
Only eligible graduates and teachers can vote in these special constituencies.
Bihar will have eight open seats.
Karnataka will have four, Maharashtra five and Uttar Pradesh 11.
