JSW Greentech Enters Electric Commercial Vehicle Market With Ampstar
JSW Greentech has created a new brand called Ampstar for electric trucks and buses.
It plans to invest ₹2,500 crore in the first phase.
The vehicles will be made at a large factory in Maharashtra.
The factory is designed to produce 15,000 vehicles each year.

The trucks can use regular charging or batteries that can be swapped.

A 90-acre plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, will produce up to 15,000 vehicles annually.
Ampstar showcased a 55-tonne electric tractor-trailer and a 12-metre electric bus at its Mumbai launch.
Commercial production is expected within about 30 days, subject to final approvals, with around 2,000 deliveries targeted in six months.
The company will initially target industrial and closed-loop operations through direct business-to-business sales and related services.
