The ACB said the pair initially demanded ₹55,000 from an auto-rickshaw driver seeking appointment as a Mathadi worker.
The complainant alleged that the guard demanded ₹5,000 for himself and ₹50,000 on behalf of the inspector.
After ACB verification, the amount was negotiated to ₹43,000; the accused allegedly accepted it at about 6:47 p.m.
The ACB said an offence under Sections 7 and 7(A) of the Prevention of Corruption Act was being registered at APMC police station.
