The money was allegedly connected to an investigation involving the man and his two sisters.

The man reported the demand to the bureau on September 29.

Officials checked the claim the next day.

They say the officer first asked for ₹1.50 lakh, then agreed to ₹1.30 lakh.

The team says it caught him taking that money at the police station on Monday evening.
