Mumbai Metro Line 3 Extends Hours for Ganeshotsav
Mumbai Metro Line 3 will run later during the Ganesh festival.
The longer service will be available from September 14 to September 25, 2026.
Trains will leave Cuffe Parade and Aarey JVLR until midnight.
Normally, the last trains leave at 10:30 p.m.
This gives people 90 extra minutes to travel.
Devotees can use the Metro to visit festival pandals and go home.
The line is near several popular Ganesh celebration areas.
Small Ganesh idols up to 18 inches tall can also be carried if safety rules are followed.
Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation will extend Aqua Line services until midnight from September 14 to 25, 2026.
The last trains from Cuffe Parade and Aarey JVLR will depart at midnight instead of 10:30 p.m.
The 90-minute extension is intended to help devotees visit Ganeshotsav pandals and return home safely.
The line connects with popular Ganesh mandals near Siddhivinayak, Dadar, Worli, Mahalaxmi and Girgaon.
Ganesh idols up to 18 inches, or 45 centimeters, will be allowed on the Aqua Line subject to safety guidelines.
