India keeps a big savings jar of money from other countries, called foreign exchange reserves.

This money helps the country pay for things it buys from abroad and keeps its own money strong.

The Reserve Bank of India, the country's central bank, looks after this jar.

In the last week of July, the jar grew bigger by about $10.5 billion.

Now it holds around $692.9 billion.

The part of the jar that is in foreign money like dollars and euros also grew.

Earlier this year, the jar reached a record size of about $728.5 billion.

Then a conflict in West Asia made India's money lose value, so the jar shrank for a few weeks.

To fix this, the government and the central bank made special schemes to attract more foreign money, and they collected about $32 billion.

That is why the jar is growing again.
