Bennett University Accelerates India’s Private Space Sector Push
Bennett University is encouraging students to work in space technology.
During its Deeksharambh 2026 orientation program, astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla launched a new group called the SpaceTech Venture Cohort.
He also introduced a guide called the Space Founders Manual.
Shukla had recently returned from a mission to the International Space Station.
He told new students to be strong when facing difficulties.
He also asked them to trust the preparation they receive.
Shukla said students have a role in helping India reach important space goals.
These goals include human spaceflight through Gagan Yaan and a planned manned landing on the Moon by 2040.
Indian astronaut and IAF Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla inaugurated Bennett University’s SpaceTech Venture Cohort.
Shukla also unveiled the Space Founders Manual during the Deeksharambh 2026 orientation program.
Recently returned from a mission to the International Space Station, Shukla addressed the university’s freshers.
He urged students to value resilience, trust their preparation, and take responsibility for national goals.
The goals highlighted included the Gagan Yaan human spaceflight mission and a manned lunar landing by 2040.
