Chhattisgarh CM Launches Antariksh Sangwari For Jashpur Space Science Students
Chhattisgarh has started a new programme called Antariksh Sangwari, meaning space friends.
It is for school students in Classes 8 to 12 from Jashpur district.
The programme will teach them about space, space travel and how astronauts train.
Around 10,000 students will be considered for selection.
Students will take an examination and may also have interviews.
The selected students will receive special training in Raipur.
They may visit Bengaluru and meet astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla.
The programme aims to help children from tribal and remote areas learn more about science and technology.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched Antariksh Sangwari in Jashpur on Thursday.
The programme will teach Classes 8 to 12 students about space science, space travel and astronaut training.
About 10,000 students across Jashpur’s eight development blocks will be screened for selection.
Selected students will receive training in Raipur from October 1 to 7 and may visit Bengaluru on October 15.
Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is supporting the initiative, which will conclude with an award ceremony on October 26.
