Nestlé says people should be able to easily understand what is in the food they buy.

Its CEO said the company would support front-of-pack labels in India.

He also said the labels should be based on good science.

He suggested showing information for a normal serving instead of only showing numbers for a certain number of grams.

Nestlé already shows calories and some dietary information on the front of its Indian packages.

The company says India is one of its most important markets.

It plans to keep investing in factories, research and development, and other capabilities there.

Nestlé India also reported strong financial growth in the first quarter of FY27.
