Agri Dept to Distribute Alternative Seeds

The agriculture department is going to give farmers special seeds to help them grow crops even when there isn't enough rain.

This is because of something called the El Nino effect, which makes it harder for plants to grow.

The department will give out seeds for red gram and pulses in different places called rythu vedikas.

Farmers who have already planted crops on 11,600 acres hope these new seeds will help them.

The government wants to make sure farmers have what they need to keep growing food.
