JNPA Starts Double-Stack DFC Operations To Speed Cargo Evacuation
JNPA is a major port in Navi Mumbai.
It has started using special trains that can carry stacked containers over long distances.

on August 21 and was heading to CGMV.
The cargo came through the BMCT terminal.
JNPA says these trains can move more goods at once.

JNPA began long-haul double-stack operations on the Dedicated Freight Corridor.
The first rake carried 360 TEUs of import cargo from JNPA to CGMV.
The rake departed at 7 p.m. on August 21 with cargo from PSA-operated BMCT.
The operation is intended to increase rail-based EXIM cargo evacuation and reduce import dwell time.
JNPA said DFC connectivity should cut transit times and ease logistics bottlenecks.
